Tip for painting your front door

Here is a tip for painting your front door. One of the problems of course is that when you paint your front door you need to leave it open or the paint will stick to the door frame and pull the paint off as you open the door again. To avoid this take out your weather stripping around your door being careful not to rip it. You can then close your door and lock it without it touching the frame. If you do wreck your weather stripping you can replace it(might need it anyway) for around $30.

Exterior painting

This has been a bad year for exterior painting. The weather has been very unpredictable, and when it rains in one spot in the GTA it may be bright and sunny in another. We are very sorry to delay any customers, but obviously we cannot paint in the rain. Even with all that said we are starting to catch up and any of our customers in Whitby, Ajax or Pickering should not be delayed too much. Thank you all for your patience.

One of the things we have noticed over the years as painters in Ajax, Pickering, and Whitby, is that the original paint on many of the new homes is not lasting anywhere near as long as it should. The biggest trouble spots seem to be exterior panelling on houses by the lake, and railings that are rotting out very quickly. If these areas are taken care of before they deteriorate to badly, we can save people from having to replace their railings Panelling, if given a good primer and a coat of high quality latex paint, should last for at least five years. Getting this done can save a homeowner a lot of money down the road.
